The main event of UFC 287 will see the UFC Middleweight champion Alex Pereira go for his first successful title defense against former titleholder and No. 1 ranked contender Israel Adesanya.

The co-main event of the evening will see former welterweight title challengers and top contenders in the division collide when current No. 5 ranked contender Gilbert Burns battles No. 11 ranked Jorge Masvidal.
Also on the main card, No. 6 ranked bantamweight Rob Font meets No. 13 Adrian Yanez in an intriguing clash of contenders after Kevin Holland squares off with Santiago Ponzinibbio in a welterweight bout guaranteed to deliver fireworks.
In the scheduled main card opener, Raul Rosas Jr. aims to remain undefeated when
he faces Christian Rodriguez in an exciting bantamweight tilt after No. 13 ranked middleweight contender Kelvin Gastelum battles No. 14 Chris Curtis to close the preliminary card.
In the only other fight on the preliminary card, No. 11 strawweight contender Michelle Waterson takes on No. 13 Luana Pinheiro before the early preliminary card which is set to feature six more bouts.
