Trivedi elected President of CCI; Mittal is Vice President

Mumbai, Sep 27 (UNI) NCP Rajya Sabha member Y P Trivedi was elected as the President of the Cricket Club of India (CCI) at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held here today.

Trivedi takes over from Raj Singh Dungarpur who did not contest owing to illness.

Badal Mithal was elected the Vice President, Satpal Jain was elected as Honorary Treasurer, Shrenik Shah as joint honorary treasurer, while Madhusudan Makharia, Vishal Ootam, Hemant Mehta, Keku Nicholson, Premal Udani were elected as Executive Committee members.

Trivedi after taking over as President said, ''I want to get big cricket back to the club which was the prime cricket destination in the past. I have watched Amir Elahi bowling to C K Nayudu from the east stands. So I know what cricket means to the CCI.'' UNI GS AB PY BD1930
