Top seed Shiva Sangwan beaten, Kaza Sharma stuns Yasir Khan
Karachi, Aug 28 (UNI) Top seed Indian Shiva Sangwan crashed out while his compatriot unseeded Kaza Sharma created a big upset as he stunned Davis Cupper and sixth seed Yasir Khan in straight sets 6-2, 7-5 in the first round of the ITF juniors ranking tennis tournament (second leg) here.
In the first leg of the tournament here last week Yasir had lost in the second round to another unfancied Indian Mandeep Yadav straight.
Chandigarh based Shiva Sangwan was shown the exit door by Nehal Kapoor 3-6, 3-6 in an ll-India encounter. In the first leg of the tournament, Sangwan had also failed to justify his top billing going down to compatriot Sumeet Shinde in three-set quarter-final.
Gugan Verma made short work of Dussadee Darakamas (Thai) 6-4, 6-0, while Lakshit Sood overpowered Ahmed Aslam (Pak) 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 and Sumeet Shinde ousted Sai Kartik 6-3, 6-4 in an another all India affair.
However two other Indians in the fray made their exit.
Gurmohit Juneja went down to local challenger Waqas Malik 3-6, 6-3, 3-6, while Chandam Shaolin was beaten by Heera Ashiq 2-6, 5-7.
Thailand's Nuttorn Tanchainant who on Sunday lifted the boys singles crown and runner-up Nasir Mushtaq had no difficulty in moving into the next stage.
While the former accounted for Samir Iftikhar 6-1, 6-0, the latter defeated compatriot Ali Asghar Bandeali by the identical score line.
Sri Lankan Jayawickrema Jithmie, who arrived for the second leg, has been top seeded in girls' singles draw pushing Indian Inayat Khosla to the second spot.
Meanwhile in girls singles first round India's Anushka Kapoor blanked Eman Malik (Pak) 6-0, 6-0.
