TN CM annouces reward for Dinesh Karthik

Chennai, Sep 26 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today announced a cash award of Rs five lakh to Dinesh Karthik in commendation of his performance as a member of the Twenty20 World Cup winning Indian team.

The reward was in appreciation of bringing glory to Tamil Nadu by helping Team India win the cup, he said in a release here.

Apart from the BCCI, many other State governments have also announced hefty cash awards in appreciation of the players performances in the tournament.
