Tiger Woods likens marriage break-up to dad's death

London, July 8 (ANI): Tiger Woods has likened spilt from wife Elin to the pain he suffered when his father and mentor Earl died of cancer at the age of 74 in 2006.

"There are times in one's life when things get put into perspective," the Sun quoted him as saying.

"One being when my father passed and another what I've been going through lately," he added.

While refusing to comment directly on the split, he said: "Everything is working out."

Tiger spoke after playing in the JP McManus Pro-Am contest at Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland.

He even revealed that he would return to the US first.

The dad-of-two said: "I need to get home to see my kids." (ANI)
