Ticket distribution for sports scribes in a mess at Eden

Kolkata, Apr 19 (UNI) Ticket distribution for media people for tomorrow's DLF-IPL's T-20 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Deccan Chargers was almost in a mess today.

Several sports scribes and lensmen were yet to receive accreditation passes despite Calcutta Sports Jounalists' Club's effort to sort out the fiasco with the organisers.

After the issuing authorities AdfactorsPR and IMG officials washed their hands off, saying they have no right to give passes from here, Cricket Association of Bengal officials said the matter was solely handled by the private agencies, CSJC secretary Suven Raha said.

He said the officials of AdfactorsPR and IMG had even agreed to issue passes by 1900 hours today with local police approval, but that too did not materialise.

Raha said several regular scribes and photographers were deprieved of accreditation cards for Kolkata's IPL matches.

Even many accreditation cards meant for Kolkata matches landed in other stations.

Besides, another fiasco still persisted whether the accreditation card holders needed local passes for entry.
