Three cyclists arrives here to spread harmony
Agartala, Apr 3 (UNI) A three-member team of cyclist, including a woman, arrived here yesterday as part of their all india tour covering nearly one lakh long kms.
The young cyclists hailing from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, started their journey in 2002 in an effort to spread the messages of harmony and national inegrity among various sections of people living in this vast democratic country of the world.
The team entered into Tripura's Churaibari on March 23 and arrived here yesterday crossing a number of hills including Atharamura, Longtharai, Baramura through which the NH 44 link the state with the rest of the country.
The youths decided that they would not go back to their home state in UP till their mission of touring all over the country was completeted by 2012.
The cyclists were Ranjit Bachchan, Ms Kalindi Sharma and Vijendra Mishra who would stay for few more days.
During their sojourn here, the cyclists would meet Governor D N Sahaya, the Youth Affairs Minister and Chief Secretary.
They left today for south district. The team has plans to tour Afghanisthan, Pakistan, Bhutan and Bangladesh in future after compleltion of their mission in India, the touring members said.
