Third seed Haas pulls out of Lyon event

LYON, France, Oct 22 (Reuters) Tommy Haas's hopes of qualifying for the season-ending Masters Cup suffered a blow when the third-seeded German pulled out of this week's Lyon Grand Prix today.

''He has been suffering from gastro-enteritis since the Moscow event (earlier this month),'' tournament official Stephane Cretois told Reuters.

Haas is eighth in the ATP Champions Race which means he fills the last qualification spot for the Masters Cup in Shanghai.
