Third leg of LG Eagleton Amateur Golf Tour from tomorrow

Bangalore, Jun 9 (UNI) Top amateur golfers will vie for top honour in the LG Eagleton Amateur tournament beginning at the picturesque Eagleton Golf Resort near here from tomorrow.

This is the third leg of the 13-legged LG Indian Amateur Golf Tour.

India's Abhishek Jha would lead the star cast, which includes Manav Das, Gagan Verma, Vikram Rana, Simarjeet Singh, H S Kang, Tarun Ghogale, Saurva Bahuguna, Jasjeet Singh and Karan Vasudeva amongst others.

Abhishek Jha who will be having the home advantage, had won the first leg of the LG Indian Amateur Golf Tour 'LG ITC Classic Open' while Rahul Bajaj had clinched 'LG Jaypee Open title'.

The lanky amateur Abhishek, who just overtook Manav Das on the LG Order of Merit, said ''the break was just fine. I have been able to iron out my mistakes and I am really looking forward to a win here.

I definitely have the home advantage but there are a good bunch of players and I am expecting the competition to go to the hilt.'' UNI MSP GKT RAR BD2105
