Sydney Police not expecting any unruly incident in stands tomorrow

Sydney, Mar 1 : The Sydney Police have claimed that despite all the on-field hostility witnessed between Team India and the Aussies, the crowd would be calm and no untoward incident would take place during tomorrow's first Final between the two sides.

Sydney Police Superintendent Peter Barrie, the in-charge of maintaining law and order tomorrow, said that the police were not expecting any racial dramas in the stands.

"The crowds have been well-behaved all summer and we're not expecting anything different on Sunday," The Daily Telegraph quoted Peter Barrie as saying.

India's spinner Harbhajan Singh has been the centre of two separate controversies involving Andrew Symonds and Matthew Hayden, who even went to the extent of calling him an "obnoxious weed" in a radio interview.

While following the first spat between Bhajji and Symonds, the former was banned for two games, after the second incident Hayden was forced to apologise for his remarks against the Indian spinner.
