SWRSA to conduct 21st All India Railway Chess Championship

Panaji, Aug 1 (UNI) South Western Railway Sports Association (SWRSA) will organise, for the first time, the 21st All India Railway Chess Championship from August four, at EMD Diesel Shed Auditorium in Hubli in neighbouring Karnataka.

In all, 16 teams from various Zonal Railways and Production Units will participate in the Championship. Each team comprises of six players. Around 150 chess players will participate in the tournament, a release said here today.

The Team Chess Championship matches will be conducted in total six rounds from August four to six, while Individual Chess Championship matches will be conducted in total nine rounds from August seven to 11, the release added.
