Suresh Krishna downs veteran Kirtane to enter final

Mumbai, Feb 5 (PTI) Eighth seed A S Suresh Krishna ofAndhra Pradesh stormed into the men''s singles final of theVideocon All India Open tennis tournament with a straight setsvictory over veteran Nitin Kirtane here today.

Krishna, 21, proved too good for the left-handedKirtane from Pune and took just 45 minutes to beat hisopponent 6-2 6-0 in the Rs 10-lakh prize money event conductedby the Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana.

In tomorrow''s final, Krishna, on a comeback trail intocompetitive tennis after a two-year study-related hiatus,will meet either unseeded Saurav Sukul of Bengal orMaharashtra'' 17-year-old Arjun Khade, a wild card entrant. PTISSR ABC SSC
