Surat, Solapur, Jiwaji and Devi Ahilya Universities move up

Panaji, Nov 13 (UNI) Solapur and Jiwaji Universities began their campaign in style, with comfortable wins over Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth Rahuri and MPU Agriculture and Technology University by 7-0 and 6-0 respectively in the West Zone Inter -University football (Men), which got underway here here today.

Pratik Jambulkar in the (8th) minute, Umer Tamboli (15th), Mudassar Horkare ( 61st and 87th), Rehan Deshmukh (65th and 74th) and Y Raheelahmed (90th) minutes scored for Solapur. while Pramod Lohra in the (22nd), Amit Khandpaln (25th ,27th and 72nd) , Daya Kishan Bhatt (80th) and Sumit Kumar (81st) minute scored for Jiwaji.

In the other two matches, Sardal Patel University Surat and Devi Ahilya University scored over Bikaner and Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune by identical margin of 4-1 respectively.

Ravini Viral, Prayank Sing, Harshil Patel (2) scored for winners whereas Suneel Kumar reduced the margin for Bikaner, while for Devi Ahilya University Shadab Khan, Shakil Khan, Vishal Kirigan and Vipin Chintamani scored goals.
