Sukantanagar Vidyaniketan thumps Air Force in Subroto Cup

New Delhi, Sep 16 (UNI) B Mallik pumped in five goals as former champions Sukantanagar Vidyaniketan (West Bengal) sent an ominious warning to their rivals, thrashing Air Force Bal Bharti School (New Delhi) 11-0 in the sub-junior section of the Subroto Cup here today.

The other scorers for the West Bengal team are Bishal Harijan (3), Amit Roy (2) and Rajkishor Shah.

In another match of the sub-junior section, Green Wood (Nagaland) overpowered DAV Centenary Public School (Haryana) 7-0. Tingnyek (4), Wasadplung, Nyuhenlo and Akalu (1 each) found the net for the Nagas.

In the junior section, Boys Sports Company (Army Boys), Bangalore edged past Modern School (Nagaland) 2-1. T Jacki Chand Singh and U Karunakaran scored for the Army Boys while Saninio reduced the margin for the Nagaland team.
