Stuart Broad cautioned by match referee

New Delhi, Nov 19 (UNI) The England team found itself in spot of bother as pacer Stuart Broad was cautioned by the ICC match referee after appearing to question umpire Russell Tiffin's decision to rule a bouncer as wide in the second one-dayer of the ongoing seven-match series.

''The umpire felt it was borderline to showing dissent and with him being a young lad I thought it best to have him in for a talk and nip it in the bud,'' match referee Roshan Mahanama was quoted as saying in the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) website.

The visiting team is currently trailing India 2-0 in the ongoing seven match ODI series.

The England team, who were heavily relying on their pace bowling department, were not up to the mark in the series so far.

The English pacers were at the receiving end as the Indian batsmen piled up huge totals of 384 in the first match and 292 in the second.

Andrew Flintoff was the only bowler among the English ranks who managed to avoid punishment from the Indians.

At Rajkot in the first ODI, India thrashed the visitors by a huge margin of 158-run while the second match which was held at Indore the English had lost by 54-run.
