Stephen-Mustafa wins doubles, Prakash to meet Rastogi in singles
Dehradun, June 8 (UNI) Stephen Amritraj and Mustafa Ghouse outplayed fourth seeded duo of Vijay Kannan and Vinod Sridhar 6-2, 6-1 to win the doubles title of the ONGC ITF Men Futures Tennis Tournament here today.
With this win, Stephen recorded his second successive doubles title in the ITF Men Futures Tennis circuit.
The top seeded pair had an easy outing in the final today as their counterparts seemed nowhere in the entire match.
Meanwhile, a fascinating singles final encounter is on the cards as Stephen's cousin, US-based Indian Prakash Amritraj will fight it out against top seed Karan Rastogi for the top honours tomorrow.
Earlier, Stephen partnered Sunil Kumar Sipaeya in Chandigarh to lift the doubles title in the SAIL 10,000 dollar India3 Men Futures before moving to Dehradun where his doubles partner was Mustafa Ghouse.
Sunil Kumar Sipaeya partnered Ashutosh Singh here. The second seede Sunil-Ashutosh pair lost to the fourth seeds in a thrilling three setter 2-6, 6-4, 7-5.
