Steady India pulls to within one shot of Thailand

Manila, May 8 (UNI) India displayed a steady performance to reduce Thailand's lead to a single shot on the third day of the Asia Pacific Juniors golf tournament here today.

While Thailand (+5) is leading the pack, the Indians (+6) are breathing down their necks at second place.

For India, Abhijeet Chadha and Chikkarangappa are leading in the individual under 18 and under 15 categories respectively.

Chinese Taipei (+8) made a strong charge to occupy the third spot and make the final a three day affair.

If India can pull off a win, it will be their first in the tournament's 29 year history.

India finished third last year which has been their best finish till date.
