SSB motorcycle rally reaches Asom
Guwahati, Mar 5 (UNI) A motorcycle rally organised by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) from Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh to New Delhi, reached Udalguri district of Asom today.
The team of 30 motorcyclists would proceed to Falakata in West Bengal, via Bongaiagon, from Bhairavkunda in Udalguri district tomorrow.
The rally is scheduled to culminate in New Delhi on March 26, where the Raising Day of SSB would also be celebrated.
This is the first of a kind of motorcycle rally organised by the SSB, in association with Royal Enfield (Bullet), India. It was flagged off from Tawang on March 2.
The rally would touch remote border areas of Indo-Bhutan and Indo-Nepal, covering a total of 2500 kms, passing through Asom, West Bengal, Bihar,Uttaranchal, Haryana and Delhi.
The aim of organising the rally was to create a sense of oneness among the border people of the country.
