SRM bags three titles

Chennai, Nov 5 (UNI) Hosts SRM University bagged all the three titles at stake on the concluding day of the Tamil Nadu Inter-university Sports meet held at its campus in suburban Kattankulathur this evening.

SRM won the men's volleyball and the men's and women's ball badminton titles.

First SRM men's team bagged the volleyball title with a 3-1 win over Sathyabhama University. In a nearly 90 minute contest, SRM dropped the first set, held its nerves in the tight second game, before pulling off a comfortable victory to win the title. SRM won 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-16.

In Ballbadminton, SRM men defeated Bharatidasan University, Trichy, 23-29, 29-25, 29-17 and the women's team defeated Madras University 20-29, 29-21, 29-18.
