Sportsman dead, another injured in road accident

Agartala, Feb 4(UNI) A Javeline thrower of Tripura died and another was injured in a road accident at Kumarghat in Tripura's North district yesterday.

Police sources here today said Javeline thrower Sanotosh Sinha, along with two other athlete friends, was driving a three wheeler which overturned causing serious injuries to Mr Sinha and his friend Manilal Majumder.

Soon after the incident, local people brought all the injured at Kumarghat hospital where the doctor declared him dead.

On the other hand, Majumder was rushed to a local hospital.

People of the area expressed grave shock over the demise of Sinha who was a prospective player of the state.
