'Sports for all' organised to treat it as part of education

Puducherry, Nov 16 (UNI) In a bid to highlight the importance of education through sports an organisation 'Sports for all' today organised a Mini-Marathon here today.

As many as 1500 boys and girls in the age group of 10-to-15 from 75 schools participated in the race and ran the prescribed five kms.

Maheswari of Indira Nagar Government School in the girls section and Arun of Thiru Vi Ka Government High School in the boys section bagged the first prize, which was distributed by PWD Minister M O H F Shajahan.

The event was organised to create awareness on polio eradication and plastic eradication.
