Sporting holds Salgaocar to 1-1 draw

Panaji, Oct 13 (UNI) A second half injury time goal by Nigerian Junior Eligah enabled Sporting club de Goa to hold formidable Salgaoncar Sports club to a 1-1 draw and share points in the Vodafone GFA Football league Championship match played at Duler Ground at Mapusa in North Goa.

Salgaoncar moved ahead through Peter Costa at the first half.

While Nigerian Junior Eligah restored the parity for Sporting Club in the injury minutes of the second half to level the score 1-1.

With today's drawn match, Salgaoncar increased their points tally to 17 points from seven outings and Sportig Club de Goa took their tally to 8 from as many matches.
