Sporting drubs HAL 4-0, HAL relegated to second division

Duler, May 18 (UNI) Jeremiah Ernest scored a fine brace Sporting Clube de Goa thrashed bottom-placed HAL Bangalore 4-0 in their concluding round ONGC National Football League chamapionship match played at Duler ground in North Goa today.

The goal scorers for Sporting were Jeremiah Ernest (2), and Dudu Omagbhemi and Mauricio Pixoto one each. Sporting scored two goals in each half.

Sporting with their last match in the championship today, increased their points tally to 25 with six wins, seven draws and five defeats from 18 outings. HAL, relegated to second division, finished at the bottom with 10 points from an equal number of outings.
