Speechless Ranadeb at top of the world after being named in squad
Kolkata, Jun 12 (UNI) An elated Ranadeb Bose was ''at the top of the world'' after the news of his selection in the Test squad for England came through.
Talking to UNI the lanky Bengal pacer said ''I'm elated. I'm at the top of the world.'' Stating that the news of selection came as a surprise he said, '' I'm speechless.'' ''But now the news has come and I would like to prepare my self fully. I will go and talk to my coach,'' he said.
Ranadeb Bose, who was largely tipped for selection for the Bangladesh tour was eventually selected for the England tour because of the swing he extract.
''No matter what place or what country. I just want to bowl my heart out and take as many wicket as possible.'' A natural swing bowler, Bose was the highest wicket taker in the last Ranji season and has impeccable record of not bowling a single no ball in his entire first class career.
Having started as tear away pacer with a Jason Gillespe look, he matured into a fine swing bowler who had cut down his pace to improvise his line and length and extracted a natural outswing that leaves the batsmen in the supected zone called ''the corridor of uncertainty'' outside the off stick.
Ranadeb singed off saying, ''my mother is crying with joy, let me attend to her tonight and from tomorrow I will dedicate myself to mother India.'' UNI BA PC DH RAI2044
