Speaker hails Anand for winning world title
New Delhi, Oct 30 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today congratulated Viswanathan Anand for having won the World Chess championship at Bonn in Germany last night.
Anand, the defending champion, successfully retained his title defeating Russian grandmaster Valdimir Karmnik in the eleventh game.
This is Anand's third world title, said a Lok sabha secretariat release issued here today.
