Southern Railways defeat South Central in Railways Volleyball

Kapurthala, Oct 23 (UNI) Southern Railways today defeated South Central Railways 3-0 on the opening day of 30th All India Railway Volleyball Championship which commenced at the Rail Coach Factory here.

The Championship was inaugurated by RCF FA&CAO Gurdev Singh.

Seven teams from different Railways are participating in the championship.

Results are; Central Railway beat western Railway by 3-2, Southern Railway defeated Eastern Railway by 3-0, South Central Railway defeated South Eastern Railway by 3-0 and Central Railway defeated West Central Railway by 3-0.

The matches are being played on round robin league basis.

Semi final matches will be played tomorrow and the final match on October 25.
