Skipper Bashar confident of a good match against India

Dhaka, May 24 (UNI) Bangladesh skipper Habibul Bashar today said his side was confident of dishing out a good game in the last Test against India commencing here tomorrow.

Bashar said, ''We are confident. Weather looks good. I think we will have a full five-day game. This ground has a good drainage system. We did not really have a bad Test in Chittagong. We kept coming back when they pushed us. But it will be a different ball game now.'' ''This is a serious game of cricket. We just have to be very careful that we don't repeat the mistakes that we have done in the past,'' he said, adding that the final XI will be decided tomorrow before the match.

''We haven't decided the XI. Everyone is fit. We are playing the longer version of the game for the first time on this wicket this season. It's a new wicket for us also. Whatmore will decide tomorrow whether to play four or five bowles,'' he said.

On whether he preferred wickets which suited bowlers or batsmen, he said, ''Winning Test matches was not easy. We are playing after a long time. In ODI if you play well one day, you can win.

But in Test, you have to play well for five days. We will do our best in this match. If chances come, we will take them. I'll not be surprised if we can draw this game, or even win it.'' ''It will be tough work, but we are positive that we can do better in Test matches,'' he added.

He also added that Tushar Imran was fit to play.

Whether they would like to present something special in Whatmore's last match, he said ''If we do something that pleases him, we will be very happy.'' On Kumble returning, he said, ''whenever he plays, he makes a difference. Afterall he has got something like 540 wickets.'' When Whatmore was asked whether he was emotional in his last game as Bangla coach, he said, ''It is like any other game at the moment. I try hard not to be too emotional.'' UNI
