Six-member Indian judo team for Jr World Championship

Patiala, Oct 16 (UNI) A six-member Indian judo team, comprising five girls and a boy, will participate in the forthcoming Junior World Judo Championship slated for October 23 to 26 in Bangkok.

The team members are: Girls--Bidya Lakshmi (Manipur) 48 kg, Rohini Patel (Karnataka) 52 kg, Kalpana (Manipur) 57 kg, Garima Chowdhary (UP) 63 kg, Sunibala (Manipur) 70 kg. Yaima Singh from SSCB will be the lone competitor in the boys' section, Judo Federation of India secretary-general Mukesh Kumar told UNI.

The coaches to accompany the team are JG Sharma and Ajay Vats.
