Simarjeet continues in LG Noida Open Amateur lead

Noida, July 25,(UNI) Oil India's Simarjeet Singh shot a three-over 75 to sit atop the leaderboard with a two day tally of two-over 146 at the LG Noida Open Amateur Golf Championship here today.

Faridabad's Abhinav Lohan was one stroke behind the leader in second place at 147 after shooting a second round 74 while Chandigarh's Fatehbir Dhaliwal brought in the day's best card of level par 72 to occupy the third position at 148.

Oil India's Manav Das who was placed second overnight, found birdies extremely elusive and had to settle for a second round card of 77 to occupy fourth place at 149. ONGC's Vikram Rana shot a 74 to share the fifth place with Ajeetesh Sandhu at 152.

Sandhu shot a 76 today. Chikkarangappa who shot a 78 was tied seventh with HS Kang and Rahul Bajaj at 153. Bajaj shot a 76 while Kang shot a 78 The cut was applied at 19-over 163 with 44 golfers proceeding to the deciding rounds.
