Shane Watson,John Mitchell to 'fine tune' at Pace Foundation
Chennai, June 27 (UNI) With MRF's consultant coach , former Aussie speedster Dennis Lillee arriving at the Foundation today, two Aussie pacers Shane Watson and another future star John Mitchell will be seeking his expertise to finetune themselves for the engagements ahead in the new season, post World Cup triumph.
Providing 'inputs' to Lillee about his wards regarding their specific problems would be Australia's bowling coach Troy Coole.
Chief Coach at the Pace Foundation, former India pacer and selector T A Sekhar will be assisting Lilee in helping out Watson and Mitchell to sort out their shortcoming and get back the nip in their bowling. It was not immediately known how long Watson and Mitchell would be put through the regimen at the Foundation.
The Pace Foundation is already bustling with cricketing action with 56 rising talents from seven Asian countries Hong Kong, Oman, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Singapore and Nepal are undergoing training, to qualify for official status and a place in World Cup competition, are being put through a development programme along with their respective coaches including former international national player's like India's Roger Binny, Lankans Romesh Ratnayake, Roy Dais and Pakistan's Iqbal Sikandar.
Sekhar and Lillee are 'fine tuning' these rising talents, especially physical fitness.
''It is a good opportunity for them to come here and play in different conditions and turf wickets. They can take back a lot and put it to use for further growth'', Sekhar said.
