Sevilla's Puerta stable after collapse
MADRID, Aug 26 (Reuters) Sevilla's Spanish international Antonio Puerta was in stable condition in hospital after collapsing and appearing to lose consciousness momentarily during his side's league match against Getafe.
''He is in stable condition, is conscious and has regained his pulse,'' Sevilla director general Jose Maria Cruz told reporters.
The 22-year-old wing back fell to the ground as he jogged back towards his own goal 35 minutes into the game at the Sanchez Pizjuan, yesterday.
Team mates and medical staff rushed to his side to prevent him from swallowing his tongue and he was able to walk from the pitch.
However, Spanish media reported that he collapsed again in the changing rooms and was then taken to hospital.
