Sarath, Nandita win PSPB men's, women's titles

Rajkot, Feb 5 (UNI) Commonwealth champion Acrinta Sarath Kamal thrashed IOCL's S Raman to win the men's singles final in the 27th PSPB Inter Unit Table Tennis Tournament played at the Rajkot Municipal Corporation's indoor stadium.

Sarath outclassed his colleague S Raman 11-7, 11-9, 11-9, 14-12 to wrap up a one-sided final.

In the women's singles final, Nandita Saha of OIL defeated IOCL's K Shamini. Nandita was given a hard run for her money but her patience and maturity paid off and she won at 11/8, 7/11, 11/6, 11/7, 8/11, 5/11 and 13/11.

In the women's doubles final, Vishakha Vijay and Mausami Paul of ONGC defeated Madhurika and Swarna (also of ONGC) 8/11, 11/9, 11/7 and 12/10.
