India Continue Positive Run at Home Championships

The latest medal continued India's encouraging campaign at the continental event, with Indian lifters increasingly featuring among the podium finishers.

The championships, being held in Gandhinagar, have provided valuable international exposure for several Indian weightlifters as the country builds towards major multi-sport events in the coming years, including the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games.

Officials from the Indian Weightlifting Federation congratulated Sanjana for her performance and extended support to the remaining athletes ahead of the final day of competition.

Strong Competition Continues in Gandhinagar

The Asian Championships have witnessed intense competition across categories, with traditional powerhouses like China, DPR Korea, Bahrain, and South Korea continuing to dominate several weight divisions.

However, India's growing presence on the podium has highlighted the steady progress of the country's next generation of lifters.

With the tournament entering its concluding phase, attention now shifts to the remaining events as Asia's top weightlifters battle for continental honours.
