SAI Lucknow enter Subroto Cup U-14 final

New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) SAI Lucknow defeated Mizo School, Aizawl, 4-1 via tie-breaker to seal a berth in the final of the sub-junior boys (Under-14) category of the Subroto Cup football tournament here today.

Both the teams were locked goalless in the regulation and extra times.

In the penalty shootout, Mathura Beck, Readytone Nongbri, Henry and Aiborlong Mujat found the target for the Lucknow side while Daniel was the lone scorer for the Mizoram school.

In the last quarter-final match of the Under 14 category, Greenwood School, Dimapur, prevailed over Allied Co-ed School, Kathmandu, by an odd goal in three with the Nagaland school scoring the winner in the extra time.

Greenwood School will now play Victoria Institute, Malaysia, in the second semi-final tomorrow.
