SAI defeats Green Wood High school to win Under 14 title

New Delhi, Oct 15 (UNI) SAI Lucknow defeated Green Wood High school, Nagaland in a nail biting contest 5-4 to win the title of the sub-junior boys (Under-14) category of the Subroto Cup football tournament here today.

Lummin Lal put Nagaland into an early lead in the 13th minute.

SAI team faught back and Henry Marboh levelled the score in the 56th minute of the match. Both the teams were locked in a 1-1 draw.

The teams were locked at 1-1 even in the extra time and were equal again in the tie braker at 4-4. However, it was SAI's Suman Bar, who took his team home by scoring the winning goal.

The final match of under 17 category will be played between Sagarbhanga High School, West Bengal and NCC (NER) tomorrow, which is also the day for the closing ceremony of Subroto Cup 2007.
