Rs 2.60 cr grant released to sports associations in four years

Raipur, Aug 24 (UNI) In order to promote sports activity in Chhattisgarh, a grant of Rs 2.60 crore has been provided to various state-level sports associations in the past four years.

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Brijmohan Agrawal said the grant had been provided to enable sports associations for organising training camps and national and international standard competitions.

The Sports department released grant of Rs 48.52 lakh in 2004-05, Rs 71.94 lakh in 2005-06, Rs 80.39 lakh in 2006-07 and Rs 80.39 lakh in 2007-08 for sports associations.
