Royal Challenge Pune Amateur Golf commencing from tomorrow
Pune, Jan 22 (UNI) Asian games silver medalist Lahigiri will be the top draw for the Royal Challenge Pune Amateur Golf title which gets underway at the Poona Club Golf course from tomorrow.
The four-day Indian Golf Union (IGU) sponsored Royal Challenge tournament will feature the best of the country Amateur Golf.
Lahirigi, the 19-year-old lad from Secunderabad won the GKD Memorial at Coimbatore and finished second at three other tournaments namely the Southern Indian Amateur, Eagleton Amateur and Golden Greens Amateur.
The Royal Challenge Pune amateur Golf championship will witness the likes of Anirban Lahiri, Joseph Chakola, Simarjeet Singh, Jasjeet Singh among other top Amateurs. Shaurya Singh, winner last week at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club Course, will give them tough fight. Shaurya, who trailed in fifth position until the last day, showed champion stuff on the last day to finish on top.
