Roy-Donald pair storms into boys' doubles finals
Melbourne, Jan 25 (UNI) Rupesh Roy and his Australian partner Stephen Donald outplayed the Korean pair of Soong-Jae Cho and Yong-Kyo Lim 6-3, 6-4 to enter the finals of the boys' doubles event of the Australian Open here today.
The eighth seeds will now take on Graeme Dyce of Great Britain and Harri Heliovaara of Finland in the final battle.
In a completely one-sided match, the Indo-Australian pair took little over an hour to get past their unseeded Korean rivals. Roy and Donald were rusty to start with and committed four unforced errors in the opening set, but they broke their rivals twice and landed more winners to go one up.
A more disciplined performance followed in the second set as the eighth seeds took advantage of the mistakes committed by the Korean pair to seal the match in their favour.
