Rooney's 'dynamite, quicksilver' with the ball at his feet, says German skipper Lahm

London, Jun 26 (ANI): Germany skipper Philipp Lahm has said that ace striker Wayne Rooney is England's dynamite, and fears that he could strike form against the Germans' on Sunday.

He said that Rooney could finally end his goal drought in the World Cup in the crunch game against Germany.

"I didn't know Beckenbauer said that. England have perfect qualities, play the opposite of kick and rush and, in Rooney, they have an excellent striker. With the ball at his feet, he's dynamite, quicksilver," The Sun quoted Lahm, as saying.

The German players visited a lion park near their base in Erasmia on Friday, prompting him to have a dig at the real English football Lions.

Lahm said: "We were stroking the little lions but we'll give your lions much more aggressive treatment."

Recalling Germany's penalty victories against England in the semi-finals of Italia 90 and Euro 96, Lahm said: "I watched both games sitting in front of our living room TV. It was very exciting. When I was a kid the whole day was governed by what would happen at kick-off, as the whole of Germany would be watching. That's something both countries can look forward to.

"It will be a difficult task and every inch will be fought for, so every player has to make the right decisions." (ANI)
