Rio Olympics 2016: Organisers apologize for long queues at stadiums

Rio de Janeiro, Aug 7: Rio Olympics organisers have apologized to fans for long queues at stadium entrances.

According to witnesses, people had to stand in queues for two hours in order to enter some Olympic venues.

The Brazilian media has blamed it on lack of coordination among police units in charge of security at the Olympic Games.

The Olympic Games, the first being held in Latin America, opened in Rio de Janeiro on Friday. The Paralympic Games will take place in Rio from September 7 to 18.
