Rathore to lead Indian challenge at World Championship, Cyprus

New Delhi, July 23 (UNI) Athens Olympics silver medallist Rajvardhan Singh Rathore will spearhead an 18-member Indian squad at the World Shooting championship to be held in Cyprus from September 1 to 10.

Rathore along with five others will represent the country in the senior category of the trap and double trap events.

In the women section, three Indians will figure in trap and skeet events.

In the junior section eight men and one women will vie to bring laurels for the country.

The team: Senior men: Manajvit Singh, Mansher Singh, Zorawar Singh (Trap); Ronjan Sodhi, Vikram Chopra, Rajya Vardhan Singh Rathore (Double Trap).

Women: Shagun Chowdhary, Seema Tomar (Trap); Arati Singh (Skeet).

Junior Men: Prithvi Raj,Asher Noria,Sidharath (Trap); Mohd.Asab, Sangram Dahiya, Asher Noria (Double Trap); Man Singh, Shiraz Shiekh, Saurab Singh Gill (Skeet) Women: Sania Shiekh (Trap).
