Rashid in lead at Sunfeast Northern India Junior Golf

Lucknow, July 5 (UNI) Delhi's Rashid Khan shot a penultimate round of two-over 74 to open up a two stroke advantage atop the leaderboard in the senior Category 'A' of the Sunfeast Northern India Junior/Sub Junior Golf Championship here today.

Rashid's tournament tally now stands at 216.

Rommel Mazumdar submitted a card of three-over 75 to join Amanjyot Singh in tied second at 218. Amanjyot shot a 74 today.

Meanwhile, 'B' category's Khalin Joshi brought in the day's best card of three-under 69 to occupy the fourth place at 220 while Abhijeet Chadha was in fifth position after shooting a 71 today.

Ashbeer Saini shot a 75 to occupy second place in 'B' category at 224, while Samrat Basu was a further six strokes behind in third place at 230. Basu shot an 80 today.

Category 'C' witnessed Rahul Ravi card an impressive round of 73 to assume sole lead at 232, while overnight leader Tarundeep Singh Chadha shot an 81 to slip to second position at 237.

Sumeir Malhotra was in third place at 242 after shooting a 78 today with Abhishek Kuhar a further two strokes behind in fourth place at 244. Abhishek shot a 79 today.

In Category 'D', Delhi's Vidit Singh shot a 79 to occupy the pole position at 155 while Piyush Sangwan, who shot an 82 today, was 11 strokes behind the leader at 166. Feroz Grewal shot an 85 to occupy the third place at 172 while Viraj Mandappa was a further stroke behind in fourth place at 173.
