Rameshori completes hattrick of gold in cycling

Ranchi, Feb 20 (PTI) Indian star rider Ch Rameshori Devicontinued to dominate the cycling competition completing ahattrick of gold medals in the 34th National Games here today.

Her third gold came in the the 3km team pursuit when shealong with K Suchitra Devi, Th Helen Devi and Y Sunita Devihad an effort of 4:04.234 to earn Manipur the title.

The star Manipur rider also has a silver medal in theGames.

Kerala quartet of Rejani V, Mahitha Mohan, Deepa Chandranand Kezia Verghese stood second, while Punjab bagged thebronze through Gurpreet Kaur, Rekha Rani, Sandeep Kaur andMamta Kumari.

Services riders clinched the second gold on offer todaywhen Atul Singh, Satbir Singh, Vinod Malik and Sombir Singhclinched the 4km team pursuit title with a timing of 4:43.635.

Punjab''s Sarpreet Singh, Harpreet Singh, Amandeep Singhand Amrit Singh bagged the silver at 4:49.104, whileRajasthan''s star studded team of Rajendra Bishnoi, Suraj MalJat, Suresh Bishnoi and Rakesh Kumar Jhakar slipped to thethird spot with a timing of 4:57.710.
