Rajiv Tomar crashes out from qualifying round

Beijing, Aug 21 (UNI) India's freestyle wrestler Rajiv Tomar crashed out of the Olympics after Steve Mocco of the US overpowerd him in the in the men's 120 kg freestyle qualification round here today.

Rajiv failed to match his American rival and could not pose any challenge as he failed to score even a single point in the first two rounds and finally lost the match 0-4.

Mocco grabbed one point towards the end of the first round while consolidated his position by winning three more points in the second round.

However, not all is lost for Tomar as he still has a repachage round and would like to repeat what Sushil Kumar did yesterday.

But the repachage would come into effect only if Mocco goes on to make it to the final round.
