Rajeshwari, Reshin enter semifinal

Bangalore, May 16 (UNI) In a major upset, third seed Vinod Gowda and fourth seed Vishwanath Sawadi of Karnataka were shown the door even as top seed Reshin Samuel stormed into the semifinals in the Boys section of the Laabh Jewellers WTA Ranking Championship Series Tournament for Boys and Girls U-16 here today.

Second seed Sharan Patil of Karnataka and eighth seed R Vigneshwaran of Tamil Nadu also entered the last four stage, defeating their respective rivals.

In the Girls section, top seed C Rajeshwari of Andhra Pradesh had a cake walk to the semis, even as fifth seed Sanjan M Kumar of Karnataka showed door to M P Nitha in straight sets. Fourth seed Ravina Shetty and A K Padmapriya of Karnataka also entered the last four stage.
