Rajasthan given a victory target of 288
Jaipur, Mar 28 (UNI) A brilliant 86 by Vinayak Mane and his 92-run fourth-wicket stand with Rohit Sharma (48) helped Mumbai score 287 for six in 50 overs against the hosts Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy Inter State One-day final at the SMS Stadium here today.
Mane completed his 50 in 75 balls with three fours and a six after his side had lost three for 96. He batted superbly and sent the ball five times to the fence besides clouting two beautiful sixes. He added 92 runs for the fourth wicket with Rohit Sharma.
Skipper Amol Mazumdar was unlucky to be run out after making 43 (2x4) off 37 balls while Abhishek Nair returned unbeaten on 27.
Earlier, Pankaj Singh had dismissed A Rahane for 27 while Wasim Jaffar was run out for 20. Ramesh Powar was caught behind off Afroz Khan for 23.
Pankaj Singh, Afroz Khan and Kuldeep Singh each captured one wicket for Rajasthan.
