Raj Singh to lead UT wrestlers in National Games

Chandigarh, Feb 5 (UNI) Raj Singh of Chandigarh Police will lead the U T wrestling team in the National Games at Guwahati to be held from February 9 to 18.

Chandigarh Wrestling Association secretary general and coach of the Sports Department Darshan Lal was confident that the UT wrestlers would bring laurels to the city by giving a creditable performance in Guwahati.

''I expect at least 15 medals, including seven in the women's freestyle competitions. The Chandigarh wrestlers had worked hard to prepare themselves for the coming National Games,'' said confident Darshan Lal.

Team: Men (freestyle): Mandeep (55 kg),Narinder (60 kg), Parvesh (66 kg), Raj Singh (74 kg, captain), Jaspal (84 kg), Sarwar (96 kg), Satinder (+96 kg).Surinder Singh (coach) and Ashwani (manager).
