Rain reduces match to 47 overs
Dhaka, May 10 (UNI) The first ODI between India and Bangladesh would be a 47-over affair after three spells of rain forced a 45-minute delay.
The cloud burst in the morning meant that the match would start 20 minutes after schedule and the match was reduced to 49 overs.
But another sharp spell just as the Indian team was walking in meant the covers had to be called for again.
This time the delay was for 25 minutes and the match was truncated to 47 overs.
The power play was reduced to 19 overs of 10, 5 and 4 overs respectively.
