Punjabi Univ wins inter varsity shooting

Patiala, Jan 15 (UNI) Punjabi University, Patiala, has bagged the overall trophy in the all India Inter varsity shooting championship, organised by Bikaner University, according to Dr Raj Kumar Sharma, director of sports at Punjabi University.

This is for the first time that Punjabi University has accomplished this rare feat.

In the women's section, Punjabi University secured the first place and in the men's section, it won the second place. Jashanbir Singh of Punjabi University won gold in Air Rifle shooting. Kushdeep Kaur also won the gold in the same event.
