Punjab beat TN to enter basketball final

Ranchi, Feb 21 (PTI) Punjab scraped past Tamil Nadu 67-59to move into the final of the men''s basketball event at the34th National Games here today.

In a hard-fought first semifinal, Tamilnadu, who led thefirst and the fourth quarters 21-16 and 17-09, could notsustain their momentum all throughout as Punjab cagers'' scores27-11 and 15-10 in the second and third quarters tp pocket thegame a place in the title clash.

Punjab''s Arjun Singh, Jagdeep Singh and Talwinder Singhscored 18 points each while B Sarvena (16), Vineet Mathew (13)and C V Dinesh (12) were the scorers for Tamil Nadu.
